I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that my bowel movements are much lighter in colour, not the normal milk chocolate colour, no other symptoms. A few years ago I had a few problems and they thought it might be IBS, if I remember rightly I think they were lightish then and I got all white grains in them, which I occasionally have now, although not at the moment, just the colour is much lighter. I presume it is my bile duct, should I take a sample to the Doctors. I had loads of blood tests recently for something else, B12, folic acid, liver function, thyroid function, etc, all came back within normal levels. Would appreciate your thoughts on this. Should I leave it a bit longer and wait to see if it goes back to its normal colour, been eating lots of bananas, advocado, peanut butter lately, would this cause it. Must say I am worried about this.

Whilst lighter could indicate something, colour can change anyway. I know I see gradual changes.
From what you describe at the moment in your OP, I see no urgency for a medical opinion and would monitor the situation for the next few weeks, as it is probably dietary.
HOWEVER...if your urine becomes darkened and the stool colour becomes even lighter, then see you GP.
At the moment.......no big deal.
