Life is to be treasured. Why on earth would you want it to end?
Were you correct in thinking that you had MS?
Sqad, am I missing something here?
Thanks Sqad.
I don't think it's a case of wrong or right, but if you are not in any pain with a medical condition then perhaps you are suffering from depression or loneliness and if so then life will feel awfully difficult, but there is help and please go and try to avail yourself of it. If you have a health condition clearly that depends upon what it is, but often life can still be very worthwhile. I do hope that you can find something to make you realise that life can be beautiful even under very difficult conditions, but I appreciate that is somewhat simplistic. However the fact you are talking to us about it is good because it shows you can see a chink of light somewhere. I hope things go well for you xx

@sqad......I'm still having tests and appointments but no conclusions. I hope it's not ms but all the debilitating symptoms are there. I've had more than my fair share of health problems and am just at the limit of my endurance.
ianess, whatever the outcome of the tests pleas don't give in.Life is oo precious to throw away.
As Kvalidir mentions above, has your GP mentioned the possibility of an anti depressant to try to lift your mood a little.

The symptoms plus the uncertainty can be very isolating I know.
Ianess......I know ! I know! However, why not wait until a definitive diagnosis is made and then see how life "pans out" for you.

"Am I wrong to hope it will end sooner rather than later?"
As Kvali mentioned in he admirable post, it is not a matter of right or wrong, personally i think that it is perfectly normal to ask yourself "do i need this?".
I think in you case although thinking about "the end" it would be better to play for time.
Hang in there ianess, never know what the future brings. Life is full of ups & downs, sooner or later you get on the upward swing.

If you are lonely perhaps this might help?
I am 77 and busy organising outings for residents on the sheltered scheme where I live, so am very fortunate to be able keep myself busy.
I do hope you get help, you're not in a good place at the moment xxx
Hello! In my personal opinion, if you are in good health, you should still try to live a productive life. I understand you may feel depressed getting older, but that doesn't mean life is over. Keep trying
The bottom line is good health. I'm 90, live alone , and in reasonable health but if I wasn't I can understand you feelings.
