Does anyone know any cure for constant loose stools, something I can take every day to harden them up, so that I don't constantly have to make a dash for the loo. Thanks

I don't but please could I suggest if you constantly have this issue you pop to the Dr and get it checked out. It's probably nothing but could be something nasty, so better to be safe than sorry xxx
If it were me, I'd be going to my GP to find out the cause. Otherwise, you're just masking the symptoms and not looking at the reason for the problem. Not the answer you wanted, I know....
As hinted at by Kvalidir, constant loose bowels can be a symptom of bowel cancer. It's probably unlikely to be anything as serious as that but it would make sense to get yourself checked out by your doctor.

Your doctor might then want to consider other possibilities, such as lactose intolerance (which would require you to remove certain things from your diet, rather than add to it, as your post wants).

Equally, it might turn out to be IBS. (There are some dietary tips here, if that's what it is, but get a proper diagnosis first: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/irritable-bowel-syndrome-ibs/diet-lifestyle-and-medicines/ )
Not enough information:
What do you mean by "loose stools".....more than 3 times/day?
Are they watery or just loose?
For how long have you been suffering "loose stools?"
Have you passed any blood in your stools?
Do you get pain in your stomach?
Have you consulted a Dr.?
I agree, go see your GP to find out the cause. It could well be a food intolerance in which case, the best bet is to find out what food you should/shouldn't be eating (York test can do this). My friend also had loose stools and it was linked with his anxiety, so maybe this could be a cause too.
Try Fybogel orange or lemon. Available from Amazon, chemists, Wilko...

It's a fibre supplement. It's primary use is for constipation, but the end result of regular use are solid healthy stools.
don't try lopermide unless you want to be bunged up, i did and haven't been to the loo in four and a half days.
if its as you say go see the GP, they can make an assessment and send you for a colonoscopy if need be.
better to be safe than sorry.
Emmie it doesn't behave like that with everyone - I have to take 2 or 3 doses before it bungs me up.
That medication is designed to 'dry' up the stools therefore it was doing what it was supposed to - you just appear to have had a reaction to it.
