I had a body scan a month ago and the gynae consultant could find no sign of malignancy. But they could see some sign of lung disease and have discharged me back to my GP. I have heard nothing since, I should have seen the GP today but had to cancel due to the weather. I am wondering if the Bronchaectasus that I know I have could be the cause of the high CA125 or maybe its something else?

You have a raised CA125........so good news, your Consultant can find no evidence of Ovarian or other pelvic cancers.....

So why a rise in this antigen?

it is also raised in other disorders and although i cannot be specific, there is no reason why it isn't raised in Bronchiectasis........it has been reported.

Would you like me to find the link or would you take my word for it?

Thank you Sqad. At least I have an Answer from you which is helpful and maybe a bit more hopeful than I was thinking. More than I got from my GP, who is supposed to have rung me since I had to cancel my appointment, but failed to do so.
