Seriously, just what is the point of existing?
We might exist for an average of 70-80 yrs and then what? We die, not even remembered in the next 70-80 years. It all seems so pointless. People that we love will die eventually, everything that we value will perish, our experiences in life will fall by the wayside and mean nothing to anyone. All the arguing here on AB means nothing in the great scheme of things, all the opinions expressed will mean nothing in a few years time.
Why even bother trying to survive when the end result is death anyway?

It's being so cheerful that keeps you going isn't it Nailit? x
Some people enjoy life.
Life is a gift. I appreciate, for you, it’s a bit of a burden at the moment but I’m sure that if you stick it out, you’ll get back to a happier place.

Sorry if that sounds a little trite but it’s what I believe and have found.
The "What is the point of it all ? " question is a classic sign of depression. Maybe you need to go back to the doctor.
Life is what you make of it!
Hope this helps

I like it here Nails. Had some bad "patches" but not being able to identify a better place, thought.....hmm better get on with it. Talking life here, not AB Cul de sac.

Ive had it up to my eyes with so called medics.
What do you really want Nails? Then look at what you can do about achieving those "wants". No good going for the biggest first by the way.

fed up off been pumped full of drugs that debilitate me by ''health professionals''
As we've discussed before, for some life is worth the pain along the way for the joy that it offers too.

We have so many opportunities to grasp and the wonderful gift of being a parent is in itself a reward for living for me at least.

Yes there's heartache and sadness and loss too but if we dwell on it, then that consumes us.
It's what we do along the way that makes our lives worthwhile. You are not a standalone entity which has no effect on any other entity. Everything you do has an effect. Contrary to being pointless, life is a huge responsibility.
I don't know what the point is but we are here and I for one make the most of it.

I make an effort to enjoy my life, and well, so far so good, nothings for nothing.
If I follow your posts it seems your life is a bit of a rollercoaster, maybe with more lows than highs but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be that way.
You might have to trust health professionals to do what they think is best for your situation and accept that they might know a bit more than you about symptoms and treatments even if it takes a while.
Ignoring advice and digging your heels in because you think you know better might not be the best way to make things better.

I don't think anybody's life is a bed of roses but we can only try.
It's questions like those that made people invent religions
...and drive people to drink.
There has just been a study published that proves that tablets do help with depression - so perhaps you should give them another go.
There's no point, nailit, but while we're here we might as well make the best of it.
