I'm always warm....i don't feel the cold and enjoy the cooler temperatures both indoors and out. My new partner is the total opposite and she is always freezing cold.
We sat in the lounge last night...me in shorts and T shirt and her in jumpers and fluffy pyjamas. In the end, i had to go to bed (nice cool bedroom). She then informs me it'll only be a few more weeks before she lights the fire every night....i'm dreading it.
Anyone else have the same issues at home....or at work even?

Same scenario in our house.
I have my shorts on from March ish 'til October ish.
The other day I was sat watching TV in my shorts and t shirt - the missus was in jeans and jumper and complained she was cold. As I'm sat here now ready to leave to go to work, I'm in shorts (although I do have a fleece top on). I work outside all day (I'm a window cleaner) so I've no idea whether that "toughens me up" or not??
When she complained about being cold the other day, I told her to put the fire on if she wanted (although it wasn't what I wanted) ..... thankfully though, she decided to grab her "snuggle blanket" instead.
I feel your pain lol :)
fortunately we both like a cooler room..can't bear the heat in some friend's houses and shops too.... it is a real consideration when invited round for dinner etc.. have to leave some shops .. simply struggle to breathe when it is too hot...
the office is airconditioned and is kept on a heat/cool cycle of 22 degrees, which for me is too hot but its a compromise, some want it hotter, some cooler, but the guy i sit next too.. is always cold, so he has a heater on and i sit here slowly melting.

22 would be unbearable for me fluffy.. I have thermostat set at around 18 º
its a compromise any lower and the tshirt wearing "cold" people start screaming that their oooman rights are being compromised and they will have to down tools and walk out.

one poor sod was so hot he went and opened the fridge and stayed like that till he cooled down

I have access to the server room, which i keep cold, so i just take my lappy and go in there
I don't have it home, but where I used to work, the girls in the office frequently used to put the heating up to 25C in the winter. Never had it above 20C in the labs or R and D Office. To me, it it is daft to heat any workplace above 21C. If you feel the cold, put a jumper on! I believe that quite a few companies limit temperature in meeting rooms to 18C to prevent people from dozing off.
at home, Mr Alba and I play thermostat ping-pong, he likes 20-22, I prefer 15 - 18.
To be fair, he does feel the cold due to health issues.
I am too warm in the office and too cold at home - poor hubby is often sweating at home whilst I have the fire lit, my slanket, socks jumpers etc on

So she's just walked in the kitchen where i'm sitting with the back door open in shorts and t shirt...I don't even have socks on, and she's walked and said "i'm cold so i'm putting the heating on".
go and warm her up the old-fashioned way hammerman ;-)
I have more issue with folk not detecting when it's obviously cold. They must have trained themselves to be immune at an early age. Nightmare is trying to get a partner agree to basic living conditions instead of us freezing and they wanting windows open, claiming a need for fresh air. The air we have already is perfectly breathable.
I have bedroom window open at night always ..even when snowing !!
Mr. Alba likes a cool room then.
It has long seemed evident to me that women are more prone than men to needing additional warmth - I have observed this in several countries and on more than one continent. One assumes this is because of biological differences between the sexes (circulation, where/how fat is stored, etc.).

However, outside the UK it has always seemed to me to be a difference in preference by perhaps at most 2 degrees Celsius but in the UK it is often a huge difference, not uncommonly 5 degrees. The only explanation I can think of is that this is habit related - what you are used to is comfortable and, of all the countries I have experience of, heating levels are habitually the lowest in the UK (often only a very short period with a point source like an artificial "fire" daily) with temperatures for months on end perhaps rarely above 15 degrees and never above 18 in very many houses (and then perhaps only in one or two rooms, the rest truly cold). People brought up in cold conditions will prefer to live like that but visitors to Britain often mention how cold it is (and the natives do not disagree) but that is to a large degree due to indoor temperatures rather than the weather per se. Nowhere do I find public spaces (airport terminals, bus stations, buses, etc. as cold as in the UK for most of the year.
I can't stand having the heating on. I'd rather put a jumper on. OH is the opposite. During winter we follow each other round all the radiators turning them up or down.

At work I put the aircon to 17 degrees. As soon as I finish my shift the next person puts it up to 20. If I'm working with someone they tend to complain about the cold, but it's easier for them to put extra clothes on than for me to take something off.
Much the same situation here. I'm happy at about 24C & MrJ2 sits fanning his face. We leave radiators off in some bits of house, including his 'office' - or whatever.
