Personally, I cant see this making any difference, as the damage has been done, and some Migrants have already started returning to the Town, so the UK drivers, will have to check their cars & campers very carefuly on their return!

As for the British being allowed to drive on the left, I think it would be chaos, unless the French have too as well, and they are not going to be pleased about it.

Nom d'un chien de merde!
To answer the Migrants issue, hink it's about time the French sorted this problem out once & for all, why should the Hauliers be intimidated the way the are, these people are trying to do a job & that's all, I think it's about time the hauliers started to Sue for compensation from the French Government & also in some cases the loss of contaminated cargo, eg/food etc.
Who would sue?
Yeah, that'll work beautifully.

Shurely shome mishtake. 1 April 2017 ?
A PR exercise for a town that no longer thrives on booze cruisers.

"Come to Calais, the Jungle has been dismantled, we only have hundreds of migrants sleeping rough now - not 10,000!"
Of course the French - and everyone else - would have to drive on the left, too.

This is a ridiculous idea put forward by politicians for one day a year, probably a bank holiday Monday, on a well defined route through Calais.

Politicians thinking outside the box can get some excellent ideas but this isn't one of them.
It's just a PR exercise to get Calais in the papers.

Fear not, this will never happen.

Et pourquoi pas? Santé et sécurité, mes amis ...
A good barometer for the average DM reader I'd say.
C'est La Berezina.
Was this report meant to be held until April Fools Day next year?
Or perhaps this was published by a Daily Mail sub-editor who has just been made redundant. It's just idiotic - talk about fake news!
The report is littered with the suspect words, 'could', 'proposed', 'wants', 'dream', 'idea', 'hope'.

It's unlikely to actually happen. This appears to be a story, in the same way that Hansel and Gretel was a story.
Poisson d'avril? Mais c'est juillet! Un canard?
This HAS to be a joke!!!!
I don't see that driving on the left would be much of an incentive to entice many people to visit .

And anyway there is no difficulty in driving on the right - well to me there isn't .
The first time i drove on the right , was in the USA - I found it no problem - and that was also in a left hand drive car
