Sqad -Quinsy Update

Ended up back at GP this morning it has been confirmed as a Quinsy. I decided against having it lanced...1) being id have to travel half way grouch the country to the nearest ENT place and 2) I'm a bit of a wimp.

GP says I won't die if I don't have it done so that's a comfort. But he reckons the Antibiotics should do the job. But I have promised if it gets worse I will go straight to the hospital.

Ear is inflamed a touch too apparently but still to maintain antibiotics and painkillers and difflam. Feel fine other than this.

It's not too bad just now thank goodness for painkillers. But it has been nasty...can't wait to go home from work and snuggle in my pjs with Oh and watch films

Well...that is your 2 choices drained or antibiotics.
I hope that you have chosen well ;-)
The fact that your GP has given you the choice makes me wonder if the diagnosis IS a quinsy.

It is a Quinsy sadly...he said it would have to be lanced but I said no - can be seen and felt....I just don't fancy having a huge needle poked in it to be honest...total wuss here Sqad.

If it comes down to it and it doesn't settle I'll go get it done.
