Has anyone experienced a reduction in the level at which Parkinsons medication works, when taken alongside course of a strong antibiotic tablets.
We have found that the Parkinsons symptoms have been harder to deal with when having to take these tablets, and are hoping that things will return to normal after the course of antibiotics has been completed.

which anti biotics?
Which drugs is he/she taking for Parkinson's Disease and as Bednobs has asked, which antibiotics?
Question Author
Requip XL and sinemet
You still haven't told us which antibiotic, as both of the drugs are for Parkinson's Disease.
However, Sinemet contains laevodopa which may well react with antibiotics and yes, may exacerbate the symptoms of Parkinson's, but will revert to normal after completing the antibiotic course.
Question Author
Sorry - phenoxymethylpenicillin is the name of the antibiotic.
Thanks gazania.......it is not one of the antibiotics that usually interact with Sinemet, but in medicine ANYTHING can happen and one should never say...never.
