Yep. I'm the same. I find if I sleep longer than 6 hours I struggle to wake up properly.
lucky you..I must average around 3 hours on a good night..can go 3 to 4 nights with NO sleep !
If you don't feel tired during the day - no problem! Can I ask your age and gender? I'm 57 and female, and due to hormonal issues rarely sleep more than 2 hours at a stretch, but still manage to get 6 hours most nights. I don't feel tired during the day and sometimes manage a longer sleep if I've been very physically active.

I had an early night last night 2230ish, was awake before 0300 after normal amount of sleep (for me). Been getting between 4 and 4½ hours for years now, seems to work ok. We're all different.
Same here. I go to bed between midnight and 1am, and am up at 6am. I sleep through on a good night and even on to 7am, but on a bad night I am up for a couple of hours in the middlle: 3am - 4am usually a difficult time.

I used to get stressed when I was up in the middle of the night, about not being able to sleep, but since being able to browse the internet, I have been much more relaxed about it. I know they say you shouldn't use a screen in the night, but it keeps me occupied and makes it no better or worse.
I remember when I was younger and had a small child I could easily sleep in until mid day if allowed. Now my kids are grown I don't need the sleep.
Weekdays or days when I'm not working I can sleep for upto 10 hours. Other than that it's no more than 8. If I'm poorly it's about 10 hours.
I usually get around 5 and often feel tired in the afternoon and early evening. If I'm not working I'll try to nap for a while.
Not enough !
five is OK

I need a full eight hours sleep to function properly, no less.
The length of time you sleep is not what matters, it's the amount of deep (REM) sleep you have that counts.

An average adult needs about five hours of REM sleep, and the rest of the time is taken up with going down to that level, and coming up again. So, if you have ten hours of sleep, you can spend 2.5 going into REM sleep, 5 hours in it, and 2.5 coming out again.

But - and this is where some people are lucky - you can go straight into REM sleep, then you only need five hours to be fully rested.

Famously, Lady Thatcher only needed five hours sleep, and that is the reason why.

But it's not something she, or anyone else who can do it, can boast about, you are simply made that way, it's not something you can learn.

So, if you feel OK on five hours, then that is how much you need.

Your body will let you know if you need more, you'll be sluggish and sleepy until you nap, or sleep for longer.

See how it goes, you'll soon get a feel for what is right for you.
Early bed and read 8 minimum up at 6
God I'd love five hours sleep lol
ditto smow
I average 6 hours a night and I'm fine on that. I think I am very lucky in as much that I am asleep when my head hits the pillow and wide awake and feeling ready to go when I wake up.
