They are driving me MAD! I know I'm not supposed to scratch them and I'm not, but is there ANYTHING I can do or apply?

Yes.........1% hydrocortisone cream applied twice daily.
If you haven't got any, then get some tomorrow at the chemist.
Would holding under cold running water help or is that a no no for stitches?

Well wrapped ice pack held over can be very soothing.
bag of frozen peas wrapped in pillow case/ t towel....

I must apologise. I've asked this question before and I've been told the answer. I'd completely forgotten:-( Old age is creeping up.

I've always found lavender oil very soothing on itchy areas
Indeed it is seekeerz, as is Aloe Vera gel.
aloe vera? i know its usually for burns and bites but it soothes the itching.
