Buscopan What Is You Experience?

I have an overactive bladder and mild IBS and my nurse suggested I try Buscopan. Have taken it for a few days but am now feeling very bloated an full of wind. I am guessing it may be the Buscopan. anyone experienced these systems?

Hi geordiegirl
Had a bout of food poisoning last year and was given a shot of buscopan intravenously while in A & E. Got some tablets from the chemist afterwards and took two every night before going to bed and found they worked really well. Did you know there are two types of Buscopan ? One is specifically for IBS sufferers, the other for stomach cramps - I had those. Hope this helps.

fbg, buscopan is hyoscine. The dose may be different in the two tablets but the stuff is the same although it may come in different packets.

I didn't know that there were 2 types of Buscopan.

I do not have IBS and have never taken Buscopan, but patients say that it helps when the abdominal cramps of IBS are severe.
