How many of you watched this?
(3 x 1hour programmes, available on iPlayer for a few weeks, at time of writing)

What did you learn which really surprised you?

Are you concerned about the challenges that all dieters were seen to face?

If nothing else, I now understand why so many of them struggle, give up and end up getting heavier than they were before their last dieting attempt.

Note: I understand the 'science bit' but that means I am unable to know what it is like to not know the science. Was it still understandable?

Saw some of it but not from the start; insufficient to learn much more than it worked well for them.
I watched them all. Was interested to see I didn't seem to fit into any of the 3 categories. Thought the experiment with the cakes at the end was a bit daft and put them all back 2 days!
The 5:2 diet. I translate that to mean 5 pints and 2 curries/or pizzas !
My diet is right for me. It's the 'eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full' diet.

Why should I need a diet ? My BMI is under 21. I am fed up with the constant newspaper and television exhortations to lose weight.

The thread creation page would only let me post this under 'Body and Soul'. The drop-down does not allow selection of 'Weight loss and Dieting', as I'd hoped. How do threads get into that section, please?
