When I take codeine I have pain that feels like that from biliary colic but I had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago. I won't take it again but I was just trying to figure out why this is! Any ideas, I was very close to fainting with pain.

Codeine can cause stomach cramps in many people, it either fades as you become accustomed or sometimes it isn't the drug for you.
No help here I'm afraid but I get that pain from codeine too but also occasionally it comes on with no apparent cause. I break into a sweat and can't walk in a straight line, it's like being drunk. I had my gall bladder out a few years ago so don't know what causes it.
