I'm in the middle of my depo, and I don't like the needle so I've decided to change to cerazette, I have a brown discharge (which is normal) just wondering whether I should start taking cerazette and overlap my depo or wait for my periods to return then take the new pill then. I really want to stop this discharge. And I personally think if I over lap the problem won't go. Just want some advise if I could. As you can all agree it's a pain in the neck trying to see a doctor just to ask one question haha any advise would be useful :)

Which depot one are you taking and when did you have the "jab" last?
can't you ring your surgery and ask for the doctor to ring you we can at ours

I'm on the depo provera at the moment. Last jab was on 30th December. It's next due on 5th march (I have it early to try and prevent discharge)
My doctors are terrible. They make you have an appointment and rant very helpful to be honest
It's been a few years since I was on Depo but if you are like me it is a jab every 12 weeks. I had no discharge but that anomaly may lie with me. I struggle to believe that discharge is normal in any healthy woman and suggest you do make an appointment with your GP.

I'm wondering why you already have cerazette? Has this been prescribed since you had you depo jab? If so what was the advice you got from you GP with regards when to start taking it?
I have never known a depot contraceptive to be given to prevent discharge.
So presumably you have had the discharge investigated and hormone in the form of depot Provera prescribed.

Do I assume that you are not worried about pregnancy?

Stop struggling, cus a vaginal discharge is very common in a healthy woman.

I have had the discharge checked it's normal as it is dried blood. Which happens who these types of contraption which I have been told by doctors. No not worried as me and my boyfriend would refrain from sex until I would be protected (not wanting a child anytime soon hahha) thanks for your I out boxtops I completely forgot I could contact them :D the nurse have me cerazette for when I want to change. She said I could take it
Now without it harming me. She told me to start taking it a week or two before my jab would be due so I would be protected.
Think ill just ring the sexual health clinic as it would be easier. I really appreciate all input that has been given. Thanks all :)
Fair enough Sqad, I did say that it wasn't my experience.

Eccles....LOL...you must learn to be a bullsh1tter.........I can teach you ;-)
I went on Cerazette and had a period in the middle of the pack which lasted 2 weeks. Never again!!

I think I'll stay celibate.
It can start off like that, nomercy, but usually settles down and even stops.
