Does attending a wedding make you go all mushy and want to get married yourself? (unless you already are, in which case you know what I mean?!)

No
Good grief no!
I've attended only a couple of weddings in the last 10 years. Both marriages have already broken up.

So no!
Attending a wedding (on the rare occasions that anyone has been mad enough to invite me, and when I've also been mad enough to actually go) usually makes me think:
a) is he/she really marrying THAT?!
b) it won't last more than a year or two, surely?
c) what the hell am I doing here?
d) where the hell have they put the present that I sent them?
e) why on earth did I spend so much money on that present anyway?

OK, my lad's wedding was different. I felt a sense a warmth through seeing him happy but also a sense of loss as I knew that he moving on to another phase in his life, further away from me.

However I've most definitely NEVER found myself wanting to get married!!!
I am married, and no I don't know what you mean.
I'll never go to another one. They always stuck me on the 'not really wanted' table, anyway. (Don't know why,I'm sure)
I enjoy them but they make me want to get married in a register office, in secret, and fly off on holiday.
I know what you mean, and I am.
No.
Give me a good funeral anyday
I tend to get mushy at the reception. Or is that 'mashed'. Mmm.
I loathe weddings, far too sweet for me. I am married but we did it abroad and in private. Very rudely I didn't turn up to the last wedding i was invited to. I sSimply couldn't face it and all the anxiety that goes with it. Ie what to wear, what to buy, who will be there that i know.
I just think they're a aste of money!
That'll be a waste of money!
Narrr.

I think "how soon to reception and me boogying to Come on Eileen?"
I like weddings, I like getting dressed up for them and I enjoy the day, it makes me feel all warm and happy on the inside (see, I do have a soul!) However if I ever get married I don't want anything like the weddings I've been to so they don't make me want to start booking a church/registry office.
Oh no thanks. Weddings, funerals, christenings...I'd rather not have to go to any of them.
Ive been to quite a few recently, all my boyfriend's friends are marrying. Pretty sure my bf doesn't want to get married yet. Been married before, I got married too young and now divorced, the wedding was a huge fairytale type one. Would like to get married again to the right person this time but it won't be as huge as my 1st. Probably marry abroad next time.
no, lol.
