I woke up with a very painful toe two weeks ago. Next day it was unbearable. Doc diagnosed gout and prescribed Anti inflamatory tablets which worked. He said to stop when the pain went.
I did not take one this morning and now I am getting pain again already.

What do you guys do about it please? Apparently it is very common.

Yes.....it is more common than one imagines and it does take various avenues of recovery.
It can resolve within a week on anti-inflammatory drugs OR it can continue for weeks in a kind of subacute (mild) form.

Yes.....continue the anti inflammatories each morning for another week, whether or not you have pain.
