I suffer from gout and get white spots on my ears called tophi. They look like big white spots ready to burst but have a white chalky substance in the rather than pus (sorry if you are eating!)

My question is can I try to pop them to get rid of them, I've done it before but they seem to come back. They are a bit unsightly and I wondered if it was safe to try and remove them myself.

They are a well known side effect of chronic gout.........gouty tophi. There is nothing that can be done about them. Surgery is an option, but take my advice......don't go down that route.

Thanks Sqad. They are not painful but unsightly. Do you think I would do any harm by picking them off? I don't plan on having surgery for this.
Keep picking squarebear.

Cheers Sqad. It's vanity really. I have a big function coming up and wanted to look my best.

Thanks for the advice.
