Depending on the injury then any emotional aspect relating to the circumstances may be something that needs help dealing with.

Pain is a pretty wide area though, narrowing it down may help find ways to help.
There are also acupressure points that help pain.
If you cannot take painkillers then what about trying a TENS machine?
A pain clinic might be an idea as to other options too.
As you are receiving medical attention your physicians should be aware of your inability to take pain relief, what have they suggested?

A pain clinic sounds the place to start.

Thanks for feedback I have rotator cuff injury pain worse at night and early morning trying mind over matter, get up and read and watch telly.
Have they suggested anything like steroid injections and/or physiotherapy or, depending on the extent of the injury/prognosis and how long ago it was any treatment options tried, a referral to a specialist?

Shoulder pain is miserable. I'm counting the days until I get steroid injections in my shoulders.

Steroid injection within the next few days
Rotator cuff? That's the shoulder isn't it? My husband had a similar probelm a couple of year ago, he was prescribed some painkillers, but was also sent for physiotherapy. Have they offered you anything like that?
I had a rotator cuff repair at the beginning of this year after years of pain following an injury. Im not totally pain free but its been worth having the op. Im now having hydrotherapy to improve the movement
