Just wondering if anyone has any idea about this please. Im 49, have been on one type or another mini pill for a few years now, approx the last 3 or 4 it being Noriday. I tend to have had only one very light period a year over a couple of days until now. Ive had a period lasting ten days, a break then spotting for a couple of days, another break of a couple of days and now Ive got a slight show again. I have always had regular pill checks and smear tests, the latest only last year was normal so Im not really thinking its anything sinister, worrying more that this is a sign of the pill not being effective any more, does anybody know ? Thankyou.

In view of your age I would wonder is it a hormonal blip or change and your medication needs to be reviewed.

Thanks pattyanne, I know perhaps it needs looking at, it's just frustrating because it's been plain sailing for so long, never mind, thankyou.
