My Loft & A Fear Of Heights

We bought our current house 2.5 years ago and I have to confess I have never been in the loft. I have a fear of heights and can't even manage a small step ladder let alone the wobbly contraption up to the loft.
I have no idea what is stored up there (apart from Mr O's extensive collection of guitars which I will only let him bring out one at a time).
He could have a harem of other women up there and I would never know.
Does anyone else have any real fears they cannot overcome?

I am really scared of heights after climbing a cliff face in Wales when I was a child and then promptly needing rescued when I realised how foolish I had been and getting well and truly stuck.
Just heights for me.

Oh and spiders, especially big ones with long hairy legs!

What made it worse was when I had the bright idea of doing a bungee jump from the top of a 75ft crane to overcome my fear.
The man in charge had to prize my fingers off the handrail and push me off the platform.
I couldn't speak for an hour afterwards.
Roller coasters and sharks for me. I can't even look at a picture of a shark. I'm not fond of heights either :o(
I had a fear of heights til I had to go on the barn roof....I overcame it by getting tipsy before I climbed up. I had to spend a lot of time on the roof and once sobered up before I had finished what I was doing....OH had to send up supplies.
My fear that I will never overcome is snakes...must be the Irish in me but I can't bear even a picture of snakes.

Prize? *prise*
I have loads of fears. Mainly all in my head though. Like I fear something that's not actually there. Does that make sense? No, didn't think so.

Anyway, other than all that, I do have a massive fear of veins!
mrs_o ... where the words you uttered after an hour repeatable?
being blindfolded, it sends me into panic mode
I have a few in connection with with my dyslexia a bit complicated to explain and some people wouldn't believe me. I think my most limiting would be being the "centre of attention" or drawing unwanted attention to myself.

This one of the reasons I am on this site I believe, I am in control of any attention and can get out when I want.

Actually when I think about it I have a quite few fears.
