Lately I sometimes have the feeling someone is sitting next to me,mostly when Im relaxed and not thinking of anything in particular, but now I realise that its me and Im looking at myself then it flashes back to feeling someone else there and in moments I can be both. Also when Im chatting I seperate and I can hear the conversation coming out my mouth as if Im witnessing it for the first time and yet my mind is detached, as if 2 people.
Anyone got any ideas,views,experience

psychosis? magic mushrooms?
Just sounds a bit spaced out... I can feel a bit like that when I'm overly tired. Although I'm more likely to see ;something weird' out of the corner of my eye which when I look properly is clearly not even remotely weird. I also feel that way when I drink too much caffine actually.
Google "Depersonalisation" just_George. Its mainly due to anxiety and stress.
Ive had exactly the same experience when I was a teenager ( im now in my late 40's). It was quiet scary at the time. Grew out of it eventually.
Since my teens I've had many times when I've felt like that and as others have said it's usually tiredness, stress or even depression. I've learned to deal with it by discovering it's not uncommon and I'm not going mad! :) Distraction can help - if possible try not to dwell on the way you feel and do something that occupies your mind, watch trivia tv, read a magazine, go outdoors for a walk/gardening. Try not to worry or you end up in a downward spiral...if it starts to really bother you see your gp.
