Has anyone had this experience of HiddenHearing. They sold some Oticon hearing aids to my father-in-law for £6995 - very expensive. Fortunately I found out in time and cancelled them. Then got him some from another company selling exactly the same model for less than half the price with the same service (home visit and test, follow up visit and test etc )

See my post underneath (related posts). They kept phoning me for quite a while and then posted me stuff, then eventually gave up.
Please, please get him to his GP and get referred to the NHS.
(Assuming your FIL lives in UK).
The hearing aids they supply are
1: Free
2:Digital
3:Discreet
4: Come with full back up service
and 5: FREE
I agree with ladyalex, I got mine for free.
People I know who've bought expensive hearing aids have ended up abandoning them in favour of the NHS variety. They say they're better.
They keep pestering me with phone calls for a free hearing test
Well....if NHS hearing aids are free, unobtrusive and effective......then how come that there is a need for Private Hearing Aid Companies?

Could there be another side to this coin?
Maybe somefolk think that summat paid for is better quality than summat free.
PP...;-)
In some areas the Nhs is outsourcing their free hearing aid service to private companies through AQP (any qualified provider)
