My mum had a fall this morning on black ice on her way to work. She hit her head, hurt her hip, knees, and an arm. There isn't a scratch on her apart from aches and pains. She can move her arm and hand but it is pretty painful. I said she should have it x rayed but she said she will just take pain killers. What do you guys think?

That she's hit her head should be the main concern. I think she should go to casualty.
How old is your mum? If she is elderly she really should be checked over, if only by her GP practice nurse.

From what you have described, i would agree with mum.Take Ibuprofen 400 mgms as and when necessary.

If in the morning her arm and hand are swollen, then take her to casualty.

She was not unconscious so just watch and make sure that she is easily awakened for the next 24 hours.

She should be fine.
Just had a thought....she can walk without pain in her hips?

Mum is 53 daffy.
Sqad...no, no pain in the hips apart from the normal aches and pains she usually has from arthritis. She is fine now. No swelling to the wrist or hand. She is never easily awakened anyway lol.
Thanks for the update...she will be fine..."shaken but not stirred."
