I am having a laparoscopy on Saturday for undiagnosed pelvic pain. The pain I feel is like period pain but on and off all month and not cyclical. So far scans and examinations have revealed nothing. Anyone else had this?
(I did have an endomatrial ablation 3 yrs ago and there is a condition called 'post endomatrial ablation syndrome' but my symptoms don't really fit the bill.)

I had a laparoscopy a few years ago for the same problems. My procedure was done under full anesthetic and was inconclusive. For me personally there was no associated pain from the procedure and all that remains is a small scar in the belly button.

methyl.....no she does mean "post endometrial ablation syndrome."
Yep, I had one over 20 years ago. They make a very tiny hole on your pubic hair line (NB, shave down there first!) and one in your belly button.

I was under general and in overnight, but discharged in 24 hours and then couldn't drive for 1 week. But healed quickly.
I had one. Was in in the morning and out in the afternoon.

Sorry, I typed this out on the hoof. Yes, endometrial ablation, of course. I actually meant had anyone else had this type of pelvic pain. I didn't make myself very clear!
Thanks for your replies.
