Families eh?

What a stress.

After all the trouble with my wee aunt passing away and us not being told (trouble still ongoing)....

Have another family member in labour, classed as older mother was actually resuscitated with last labour!!!!

Not doing well this time either....and has signed herself out

Doh.

Needless to say we wont be sleeping much!!! Seriously worried. Im godmother to the 8y old ...

Signed up for a bit too many shifts this week too i think coupled with crap sleeping is all a stress!!

Och well xxx

Tinks lie back and think of yourself, your long-awaited job is there for you to do your best. You need to rest to do your job properly. Relax take one thing at a time. Think positive.
Probably won't help, but there's nothing you can do about any of it. Try to relax, you need to rest now you're working. (I had a horrible first labour, v quick second and still had my clothes on and accidentally had the third in the house - its different every time.) x

She left against medical advice sherr - she isnt daft- even though i think its a daft move i just hope she knows her own body! We are about. 25min drive from any maternaty hosp. She was monitored through pregnancy.

Dont think its all a good Idea!!!!!!!!

Im chilling. Im trying honest haha

Its hard to switch off for a while when i get in cos im always so "tuned in" x
aah, that is the secret to managing stress - learning where your "I am on duty" and "I am off duty" switch is - and how to trigger it.....

In other words when to be ready to act and when to chill out. Master that and the sleep and rest falls into place.
Good Luck

How far do you have to travel to get home from work, tinks? I've got a 50 minute bus ride these days - gives me wind-down time.
