little holes at the top of your ear....

Right. Does anyone have a little hole at the top of the ear, just before the point at where the ear meets the top of your cheekbone? My son has one on one ear, and someone whose hair I cut has one on each side. What is the significance of these? Is it some throw back to caveman days? They serve no purpose at all. I said to my client I would ask the guys at AB!! Someone will know!! He and I eagerly await loads of sensible and silly replies. And no they are not piercing holes!!!

This is a very interesting thing. I was born with a hole on the left side of my ear and I to have never broken a bone and i heal very fast.it doesnt get infected and has never had pulse or a smell. The thing that worries me the most is i started to dream odd dreams, like predictions to what was to come in the future, and even now i still have them. before i turned 18 i was warned two weeks in a dream i was going to die on my birthday. concerned i told my brothers and friends about the matter but they laughed. on my birthday a lady actually ran a stop sign. my brother was driving his car and we plowed into the side of her. fortunately no one was injured but ever since then around my birthdays bad things happen. i have been in a total of six car accidents within the last 7 years none of wich was my fault. I now am concerned that i am being haunted because some nights this shadow holds me down when im laying in bed and i can feel its breath blowing on my skin. i ignored it at first thinking it was sleep paralysis or just nightmaires until when friends and family stayed the night at my place the same thing would happen to them resulting in them to never want to stay the night again. is this hole in my ear a course or is something of evil trying to get rid of me because it knows theres more to me. im the only one in my family that has this hole and growing up weird things has happened as a child as well. You people who believe you are "special" or have "powers", are utterly ridiculous... Its proven these are "leftovers" from unformed ears at birth, not communication devices for god, or a sign that you are impervious to harm... Everyone wants to believe they have a special purpose, or can do things that others cannot. I'm sorry to burst everyone bubble's, but wrong, wrong, wrong... I too have these holes... Since birth. No infections, slight "weeping", and no I cannot breath underwater, cannot talk with "god", have broken many, career hazard, I'm a commercial fisherman in Alaska. Many people have many dreams they later believe we're psychic, in reality, our dreams are situations incorporating our surroundings, nothing more... I'm sorry for the people so unhappy in life they desperately cling to the idea of being "special", but you are not... At best, I will say my purpose in life is to be as happy as possible, and help out others along the way.. Anyone looking for more than that... Good luck! Idiots....
I am 51. I have all of the above except for the psychic feelings. My mother has them but then she doesn't have the holes. My family originates from the Canary Islands not Scotland. My mother said it is a sign of the nails of Jesus hands and because I was born in the Christian holy week on a Wednesday. I have always felt different only in that I see from my own perspective see through my own eyes. But I bet each of you and everyone else has the same feeling. I wonder how many of you are musically inclined or horrible at sports? A huge part of me says that everything on here is just plain silly and there's no way that we are "special" for any reason. That being said, I've always been very sensitive to other people's moods and state of beings. It seems like I always know what other people are thinking about and what other people want to hear. Here are the randomly weird things that I have/ have had in my 23 years of life.
I have a hole in my left ear (upper cartiledge) that sometimes secrets a puss
I have heavily arched feet
I can make a thundering in my ears that's pretty loud. It feels like i'm flexing a muscle when I do it.
I really HAVE always felt like there is some higher calling for me; I am considered very intelligent by the world's standards (IVY league education blah blah)
I too can feel a person out within a matter of minutes.
I used to have night terrors when i was a child (wake up screaming during the night without memories of why)
I have unusually fast reflexes <-- I seem to always catch things before they hit the ground
I am Asian, and I can swim. <-- for those above that seem to think that being scottish and almost drowning mean something

Hey what's goin on everyone obviously I have a hole in my ear as well. Actually I have one on each side. Anyways I wanted to post an answer after reading so much about super powers and the whole bone breaking thing and the many crazy experience. A couple years ago this lady stopped me when she seen the hole in my ears and told me a story after being surprised I had one on each ear. She asked me if I ever felt lucky as if good things happen and she used broken bones and accidents that i walked away from and a lot of what you guys are talking about as examples. Anyways long story short she said when I was a baby in my mothers womb I was kissed by angels. Now idk if two means kissed twice but it fits the scientific part of this hole being developed in the womb and it fits the whole broken bone theory and crazy accident stories.

-have a deeper sense of logic, thus a more distinguished understanding of other people's complexions, programming computers, or anything else connected to logical thinking
-are more susceptible in believing common beliefes, ex: religious beliefs
-are less emotional than an average person
-will usually have type O blood (not surprising in my opinion)
-may feel uncomfortable from the sense of touch at times
-have a more intuitive unconscious mind; you are able to solve complex problems without being aware (although you can not invoke this on your own will; it's instinctual)
-are slower at memorizing
-like to build stuff

Amazingly, I also have never broken a bone. In one instance, I fell on top of my arm while playing football on a tennis court. There was a loud smack. The impulse applied to my arm from my body and the ground should have been enough to at least fracture a bone; nothing happened except a tendon tear.
I am more susceptible to drowning compared to an average person, but my lungs are small compared to a normal person and I have to take more quick breaths. I can not swim well; I also can not float on my back with ease. I just thought my body was dense, but oh well. If many other people with preauricle pits have problems with swimming, I guess they can be related.
I've often had dreams of telepathic communication, but this is an unrealistic situation in today's world.
With other people accounting that they can see the future, I can not clarify if they mean they have déjà vus or precognitions; the difference is important. Déjà vu is a failure of the senses, while precognition is an added, advanced, intuitive sense. I wanted to distinguish if this "future sight" is actually a pro or a con. Myself, I have had precognitions, but only rarely. I've never had a déjà vu before.
Now I shall introduce some findings of myself:
-I am good at music, particularly in pitches; I have developed a sense of absolute pitch as accurate to the cent, as well as a sense of relative pitch with the same accuracy for up to three notes (but it takes me quite a long time to figure it out).
-I like learning by myself, at my own pace.
-My sense of smell is not as strong as the average person's.
-My grammar is strong because my logical thinking is strong.
-I like math. I like science. I hate languages. I hate history.
-I dislike tedious work, and put it off as long as I can.
-I am an introvert. (I avoid socializing, even online)
-I like to start things, but I never feel like finishing them.
-I like challenges.
-I've never had an official IQ test but I assume it to be around 150.
-I like researching as much as I can before I do something.
-I can never do something without instructions.
-I like to imagine having special abilities. :) BUT NO STUPID SUPER POWERS.
-My favorite sense apart from hearing is proprioception. I usually imagine I can expand that sense beyond my body and feel where everything else is and be able to picture my surroundings in my mind.
-I can be completely OCD at times, yet I still have a messy room.
-I used to create psychological situations in my mind in which I pit myself against someone or a few people in an experimental situation. Wow. I know this is very dated but. My name is Eric. I'm a 36 year old male. I have one hole on the right side but there's a twist. When I was younger it became infected. It was very sore and started to swell. Well, inside the first fold of the ear, which is right next to the hole, it became swollen to the point that it looked like a giant pimple growing in that part of the ear. Long story short, it "popped" or erupted blood and puss. When it healed I was left with a hole inside that first fold of my ear. The two holes are not connected so I actually have two holes in one ear. Since then nothing has happened with the "inside" hole but the outside hole does have the white substance and the clear liquid. I do have to clean it regularly.
Now here's my craziness; I've never broken a bone. I heal faster then normal. I'm not super human..lol , but I am stronger then I should be for my size. I'm fully rested from 3 to 4 hours of sleep. I have a hole on my right ear. I'm half Irish and have Viking blood in me too. I have A+ blood type. I've never ever broken a bone (I'm a 36 yo female). I've always been scared of water I can't see the bottom of, but love swimming in pools. I do have a fear of swimming when there aren't 3-4 people with me. I've had too many premonition dreams to count. I saw my grandfather walk down the hall of the hospital 90 minutes after he died. I've always believed in a connection to angels or guardians or whatever you want to call them. But I'm terrified of the darker presences I feel at times. People are drawn to me even when I don't want them to be. I have an above average IQ (through testing). I don't think I have special powers, I just feel tuned in to things when I want the responsibility that comes with it. I am super sensitive to people's feelings/emotions. I have a fierce sense of moral right/wrong and desperately want to correct injustices if its within my power. I don't have special musical abilities, but when I listen to music I feel it rather than hear it. I can see and feel it swirl inside me and even the color it gives off. I feel bad sometimes that other people can't feel it too. I am hopelessly messy, yet OCD about something's. I have oodles of creativity and love to work with my hands, yet my projects are more often left incomplete. (Much to my husband's chagrin!) neither one of my kids (twins) has the holes, but my daughter has a strange "burn" looking birthmark on her left temple. She actually has like 5 completely different looking birthmarks. She is highly sensitive and cannot sleep in a room alone, she wakes up terrified. She has gone back to sharing a room with her twin brother at 5 yo because she needed constant comfort.

Hello, Quazpac! I have one of those holes on my right ear and I also believe that we have special abilities and responsibilities. .. Please contact me back I would like to learn more. Why isn't there more scientific or medical explanation to this? I'm from doctors family and I never had issues with this hole. ..hope to hear from you soon
Hi I don't quite know the scientific reason but its not the pre whatever earpits. I have one on each side of my head and I'm a very spiritual person,I went to speak to a clairvoyant and she told me that people born with it are receptive to hearing angels and spirits. Its called clairsentience I think. Your son or person you cuts hair,should be made aware of the loud "buzzing" noice,its more of a high pitched scream that sometimes gets so loud it blocks out the outside noise. Its at this point where you need to tune into the noise as if you're tuning into a radio. Its like a frequency that u just need to imagine tuning into. I've tried it and it works. Sometimes it feels like I'm talking to myself. I listen especially when the ringing comes. Its not a defect or anything. Its a gift although I sound nuts. I've searched for answeres to ,and I'm sticking to my story. Its the only one that makes sense from what I've experienced. I hope this helps :)
