anyone else taken these before? im supposed to take one tablet 4 times a day with food but a) i dont eat that much normally and b) what with going inbetween 3 or 4 different houses (friends etc) and working 12hr night shifts...

eating every single time isnt exactly practical for me!

anyways the problem is this wierd stomach ache. its not normal stomach ache, its on the lower left hand side and it hurts when i put pressure on it, feels like its swollen and hurts when i walk which is wierd. even more so when i walk when i put down on my left foot

so i guessed its musclar but as ive never had it before figured its to do with these pills. i lost the leaflet with the pills otherwise id read that! in all honesty its annoying more than painful, and id rather have pain than the problem im taking the antibiotics for in the first place!

...of course googling brings up the usual "suspected urgent medical problem" rubbish!

ideas anyone? thanks :)

Nitrofurantion is an antibiotic usually used for "water work" infections. so I would like to know for what reason and for how long that you have been taking them.

The abdominal pain could be due......could.......to the tablets.

How long have you had this pain and was it there before you took the Nitrofurantoin? Have you any constipation or diarrhea? any nausea or vomiting? Have you noticed a swelling in your left groin?

NEVER Google for medical problems.

Following answers to my above questions, a reply will be forthcoming, but in the meantime, it doesn't seem to be of an urgent or life threatening nature.
