I posted a question a few days ago and haven't had any replies. Does anyone do the Slimming World diet online, and if so do you recommend it. Also can you get a personalised programme. Thanks.

You posted it yesterday and many people only access this site in the week, if you are patient i'm sure someone will answer your original question.
I have no experience of Slimming World so can't help you myself.
Dont waste time and money over these things . If you have guts left in you after eating pizza and burgers for so may years then go to the ground or gym , follow these tips :
1. Make sure that you dont talk to anyone .
2. Dont stand in one place . Either run or walk . Dont leave the place till you are drenched in sweat .
Hi Linda - I do slimming world - started it last September and have lost 3.5stone so far. I really like it, find the diet fairly easy to follow and like the fact that nothing is banned so you can always have a little of what you fancy. I go to a group though, I find that the support and information you get from that personal interaction is valuable and really helps to keep me focussed and motivated. I love the fact that you set your own target you don't have someone telling you what you must weigh - it's your own choice. In my group there's no recriminations or judgement just support an friendship. You still get full use of all the online stuff - there are hundreds of recipes and tips on there. You don't get an individual plan though - you have to do that bit for yourself - but there's no real faff or anything so you should find it ok to do. My advice would be to go to a local group and just sit in one of the meetings to see how you feel about it - you don't have to pay anything or decide whether you want to join until the end of the meeting - so if you sit and decide it's not for you all you've lost is an hour and a half. I wish I'd had the bottle to join when I only had a couple of stone to lose. Hth - let us know what you decide X
Linda, ignore sheranudeep's quite rude answer, there are much more helpful people here who will be able to answer your actual question.
all diets work if you stick to them!

slimming world and other 'packaged' diets do not offer individual attention, whereas your GP and a gym* may!

*but for a cheaper solution (and companionship and understanding) you can't beat the local groups SW or WW!

have you checked you do not have any underlying health problems or allergies which may be hindering your weight loss, first?

good luck! onward and downward ...

Hi Linda,
Slimming World is great. No fancy gimmicks or own brand foods. Just loads of lovely healthy interesting food choice and as previously said you set your own targets. The meetings are fun but I dont always stay after weigh in.Once you have joined you can go on line for free on the SW Website for interesting tips recipes etc.You get a wallet with books and other information so if you join to my mind it is better than on line. I have lost 2and half stone since Jan 2011 easily but slowly there is no pressure to rush and we all still have cheat times but then come into line again. Mayviabelle has said the same. Ignore rude people like sheranudeep. If yiou really cannot attend the meetings then of course you can enrol on line. Just Google Slimming World.Good luck.

Pat.
plus the lit is available on ebay ...
I do SW but I use a site called my fitness pal I really recommend it.
