He said i have beautiful teeth .....and not to worry about not coming for donkeys cos ive made the steps now- but i still feel bad!!!

As i dont have to pay- the white fillings arent on rhe NHS. How much did you pay for yours? Wondering if i can try to save and at leaat get white ones on my bottom teeth!? Silly me. Im keeping up my checkups from now on. I was really embarrased x

scales are a wonderful thing, I had a wisdom tooth out yesterday, so glad I went, although I found the whole visit awful, so glad to get rid of that tooth

I didn't go for years (after a bad experience) and my teeth are now rotting away. I do recommend reasonably frequent visits. You don't want teeth like mine, believe me.

I had white fillings on the NHS but within the £44 paid scale

Scale & polish- do u find it sore!!??? X
If I'm having work done on my teeth, the dentist makes out a plan of what I am having done and how much it will cost but it probably varies from dentist to dentist.
On my next visit he will tell me how much it will cost to have my amalgam fillings replaced with white ones as this is what I've asked to have done next.

Thank you miss P xx
Hi Tinks, I found the scale to be more annoying than anything else. The picking between the teeth was not pleasant. The polish tasted like Oddfellows.

Nice Av btw x

Urgh oddfellows.......they were my aunts craving whilst preggers!

Ach...i try not to worry, in this day and age dentistry should be pain free with the local anesthetic......mabye afterwords a bit ouchy!! Hmmmm needs doing so xx
New Av is kinda hot...that worries me....!!

I am not blessed with good teeth unfortunately and have very few left up top, the denture will come along eventually.

It would appear that those of us of a certain age who had braces as a kid may have suffered a softening of the teeth due to the reaction of enzymes with the braces on the enamel and inner dentine of the gnashers.....just a bit of a bugger that you only find that out 30 years later!! As a result we are prone to more fillings and tooth loss that the lucky folk who didn't need them. At least the modern plastic braces don't seem to cause any damage
