A lot of NHS hospitals near me have positions within the Pharmacy dept on offer quite often and you need Pharmacy NVQ level 2 generally to get in. Then from there I assume you train within the NHS/access courses and move upwards. Courses to do NVQ 2 are not so easy to find in my neck of the woods though - google your area to see what is available locally. Also if you are interested in working in a local hospital contact the dept and speak to someone there for advice etc...
I think that gaining this qualification could start you off on the process of becoming a pharmacist....but there would be quite a lot of study ahead.

I thin your best bet would be to call into your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist. I'm sure he/she would be happy to give you accurate advice as to how to become a pharmacist, or any other careers within this area.
Good luck to you.
I did my nvq in Pharmacy a few years back when I worked at a rural
Gp practice. It was fully paid for so I was lucky. Approach pharmacies, gp's and hospitals. It is a fantastic course very interesting. One u have ur nvq u r a long way off from being a pharmacist but the next step up would be a pharmacy technician... Once this is achieved it would give done credits towards a degree qualification I belirve
