I had an injury to my face a few months back which left a small, but prominent scar. I was advised to rub in bio oil daily. I have to say it's done a great job. Would it not have the same effect on wrinkles? I'm lucky enough not to have any yet, bar a few laugh lines - but my chest has 3 prominent lines upwards from my cleavage, from when I sleep. I haven't been blessed with a big chest, but obviously I'm wrinkling up in the night (LOL) - if I rubbed this in, do you think it would work? I'm thinking of rubbing it all over my face too!!

My wife used Bio oil on the scars on her feet after an operation hallux rigidus, and swears by it.
Me, I'm a bit skepitical. Basically it's just petroleum jelly with an added ingredient that stops it from setting. That being the case, one would expect it to be no more effective than Vaseline.
i think it would work as well as any moisturiser really - maybe better.

it is known to work on stretch marks so it clearly has a beneficial effect on skin.

i tried it and found it left an unusual and unpleasant sensation on my skin (mild allergic reaction probably) no burning etc but i didnt like it.

you can buy a much cheaper, 'no-name' brand version that is basically the same stuff in places like superdrug i think.
Bio Oil didn't really work on my Stretch marks. I used it throught pregnancy and continue to, but I have norice some improvement with my C-Section scar which is now alot flatter. It supposedly works on wrinkles and I have tried it on my face but broke out in spots. I use it daily on my body, sometimes mixing it with Palmers Cocoa Butter.

Incidentally where does everyone buy their Bio Oil? I get mine from either Chemist direct or Cheap Smells, 2 large bottles for around £20.

Yeah that's the thing, it's not cheap. I got mine in the supermarket - it cost £8 for a small bottle! I only use it at night, as I have quite oily skin in part on my face, so I never use it in the morns.
