Would a very patient Aber please guide me step by step instructions on how to do this, as I have been trying for the past week or so to show my new wet shower room that Social Services have put in for me as I am disabled and couldn't get my legs over into the bath, and required help getting out. They also made a more suitable concrete path leading up to my front door for easier access to the front door with my wheelchair, altogether it cost nearly £10,000. Oh yes, I nearly forgot, they had a stair-lift installed also. What a wonderful country I was born into. The SS has a different in English.
I await your easy to follow instructions.

hi bill
click on http://tinypic.com/
click on 'browse' and locate the photo thats on your computer
click on 'upload now'

and then enter the 'security letters' it asks for
you will then see 'share this image'

highlight and copy the link that is in the 2nd box down which says :

IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards
AB's server doesn't accept images (except, of course, for avatars).

You need to upload your picture to an image-hosting website and then post a link here. Tinypic is the preferred option of most people because there's no registration process.

You don't need to use PhotoPlus (or any other software on your computer). You simply need to know the name of the file and its location (e.g. the 'My Pictures' folder).

Go here:
http://tinypic.com/
Click 'Browse'.
Navigate to the location of the image file and double-click on it.
Click 'Upload now'
Copy the security code into the box and click 'Upload now' again.
When the picture appears, left-click in the 'Direct Link for layouts' field (to highlight the text).
Then right-click and select 'Copy'
Come to your AB post, right-click where you want the link to appear and select 'Paste'

Job done!

I've just uploaded a random pic to remind myself of the technique. It's completely irrelevant to my answer but here it is anyway!

Chris
now return to AB and 'paste' that link into your thread box,

now delete [IMG] at the start of the link and [IMG] at the end of the link

now you're ready to submit your AB message,

and we will be able to see your photograph/s in your message,

:o)
I see that Loobyloo can type faster than me!

You'll see that she's told you to use the 2nd link, whereas I've suggested the 4th one. Don't worry about it; they'll both work!
. . . except that you won't have to muck about deleting [IMG] if you do it my way!!!

Sliknky. Kate, if you are elderly or disabled you could well be entitled to many free home improvements.

On a visit to me, my doctor could see I was having difficulty and he put it to the SS and I had a visit from them, and they took it from there. Give your doctor a visit.
