I've got a scar on my back following a procedure called Z-Plasty about 7/8 years ago. It's never settled properly so it's raised but recently it seems as though I can feel it a lot more, as if it's got bigger.

Is that actually possible?

would not think they get any bigger..perhaps the sskin puckers so the atual scat tissue feels more pronounced...you really need to ask your GP or Sqad..when he is back..
A scar is what is still there after the healing, so surely unless you get bigger, it shouldn't. Have you no family member who can give an opinion of it ?
It shouldn't get bigger unless the skin recedes, IMO - get someone else to have a look at it.
My mum had back surgery about ten years ago as well and often feels that it raises as if it new again. She asks me to check and sometimes it looks quite red as if it's inflamed. Don't know what it is though :|
I have a lot of scars and as everyone else has said whilst they don't actually get bigger they can on some occasions certainly feel as though they do. I have one in particularly that seem to become raised and itchy and irritated somtimes, but it doesnt alter it's essential size, just feels as though it does. Bio Oil is very soothing.
I have a lot of scars after many surgeries and they often become raised, red and itchy. Some of them are almost 30 years old so it isn't because they are newish scars.
I assume that you are not negroid, in which the scar may get bigger called keloids.

As. I suspect that you are not, then this is nothing to worry about....not actually getting bigger, but feeling different.
your weight gains/losses can affecyt the way it 'feels' and any changes can make it sit differently! x

Thanks for all the answers.

You're right Sqad, I'm white so don't think keloid.

Nobody ever sees it so they wouldn't know if it looked any different but I have lost some weight recently so I guess that's probably the explanation.
i know with my weight gain some of my scars have stretched and i have one which can get like yours, bio oil and lavender based skin products helpx
