Why would you want to take another one right away? They are betablockers, not painkillers. Although, now I come to think about it, I was prescribed them for persistent migraine headaches, which turned out to be high blood pressure. They worked I am glad to say but not as painkillers because I had to take them every day whether there was pain or not.
I take it to keep my migraines at bay. It should say on your packet how many to take and how often. Stick to the advice on the packet, to be safe.
Is that the Michael Jackson stuff? Doubt it if it is
I wouldn`t take them that close together. If I was to have three per day, I would have one each at breakfast, lunch and dinner. They work better with food. They can affect your heartbeat and thus blood pressure so taking them too close together probably isn`t a good idea.
Read the packet tinks. I was prescribed these (10mg) and was allowed to take 3 at a time 3 times a day (not that I ever did).

No, definitely not!

Have you taken another one? They should be taken at intervals, and not that close together.

No i havent x
Jesus, I was actually really worried then :( x

What dosage has your doc given you?
Flip is right, they should be taken at regular intervals. You will feel better after a while tinks but be careful what you do.

Cos thy cant be preventative or id be taking daily.....confused.com
Yes, take as and when, but they should take the edge off the anxiety.

When you took the last one, were you starting to feel that way, or did you take it "just in case" and because night time was approaching? I know that sounds odd, but that's what I used to do and then found it had worn off by the time the real anxiety had kicked in.

I definitely, definitely don't think you should take another one.

If that tablet has not taken the edge off it, then you need to go back to your doctor to get a higher dosage. Don't pop them like smarties! lol.
I suggest you do as the doc told you as we obviously all have differing views and requirements. As I said I was allowed to take 3 10mg tablets at once. People use them before public speaking, driving tests, allsorts. They don't make you drowsy or dopey. I often take 2 within an hour.
My dog ate a whole packet of them once and although I rushed her to the vet it was as if nothing had happened!

Well becsuse instructions werr take when entering stressful situation ..ie winding down for bed in my case...so i did..x
Well, just don't take any more, and maybe give NHS Direct a ring in the morn, and see where you stand with taking more than one.
Me and Star could be completely wrong, but I just think you should be careful.
No problem depending upon the dose of the tablet......10,20 40 mgm tablets..No problem...............60 or 80 mgm tablets...you may, but don't make a habit of it.
Question Author
Theyre 10mgm ..id never take more than 30mgm a day x
tinker....then my answer stands.....no problem.....10 mgms is a small dosed tablet.
You should take them evenly spaced Tink, but if you did take 2 at once you would be fine I'm on 40mg 3 times daily to combat the effect of an overactive thyroid.
