corner of lips turning black

Just noticed when i was looking in the mirror that the corner of my lower lip is quite black, i actually thought it might be ink but its definately not. Its not tender or sore, but blackened - maybe about a centimeter in total. I do have the start of a small coldsore in the centre of my lip, will this just likely be connected? Looks a little weird!

just a thought, i dont smoke or drink, dont drink coffee and only have the occassional tea.
I'd get a doctor to look at it if I were you
