My dad has got a really deep-seated splinter on the palm of his hand by the base of his thumb, from an old gate post that had a big rusty nail in it. I said he should go and have a tetanus injection, but he said he had a 'full course' of injections 9 years ago and should still be 'covered' - is that right?

Just out of interest, how long is he 'covered' for?
Theoretically for another year.......but if it was me........for the rest of my life.
