This leaflet from the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital provides useful information:

(See pages 8 to 10).

Hi - A family member recently had a very similar procedure jacksgran, and it took her probably about 8 weeks before she was in a position to feel anything like back to normal - Now, 4 months on after the process, she says that all lingering post op effects are all gone.

It will get better....

Depends on how fit you were before the op,and to some extent how old you are just build up your exercise tolerance very gradually, and get lots of rest in between any major surgery you'd be looking at 8-12 weeks so its really earlt days...take care of yourself

Thank you both very much for your help. I have read the Norfolk & Norwich Leaflet which was very useful. I have to see my Surgeon in four weeks time so hopefully I will feel much better by then. Again thank you.
