obviously to check if a man is fertile he has a sperm count but how is a woman checked?

a variety of things. First off is a blood test, taken a specific times during the cycle, to see if the hormones are enough to make you ovulate.
Then they might have a lap and dye (squirting dye into fallopian tubes to see if they are patent)
they might have follicular tracking (to see if follicles are being produced and travelling to the right place.

Male fertility tests are not limited to a sperm count either 4get - they also check the sperm's quality and motility. A man can have a high count but still be infertile cos the sperm's no good.

Its easy to tell if your man has a high sperm count, you will have to chew before you swallow.
