I'm having somethng similar in a couple of weeks and the doctor thinks I will have a good outcome from the surgery. I'm very much looking forward to getting active again (I used to be quite fit a year or so ago) but at the moment, the nodule that I have in my hip (where the body has tried to heal an old injury or something) means that my hip locks for a second or two at least twice a day (which hurts!), aches a lot and limits how far I can walk etc without setting it off... I can't wait until I can get back to the gym and walk ten minutes down the road without doubling over! :c)
