Hi

My hubby has got sebhorric (spelt wrong I know) dermatitis and I wondered if you could help.
Dermatologist gave him steroid cream (trimovate) for chest and face and steroid gel (synalar) for scalp.
He has been using them for a week (both once a day at night) but the rash and itching is getting worse. Is this normal or could it be the cream?
Also in the last two days the rash has gone onto the back of his hands, but his palms and fingers are really red, slightly swollen and he said they feel like they are burning. (The feeling you get when you come in from the cold and your hands are warming up).

He is going to try and get into Doc's on Monday but do you have any ideas please?
Thanks

No it isn't normal and although it is uncommon, he could well be sensitive to the steroidal creams.

My opinion is to stop using the cream and gel until he sees his Dr on Monday.
