Has anyone ever had this. ? I have lost all feeling to my lips, & chin and lower left teeth but still in immense pain 8 days later. Doctors have confirmed nerve damage and said i may regain feeling in about 18 months!!! I cannot eat, open my mouth wide or really sence if things are to hot until its too late. Has anyone else ever had this and how long b4 you recovered / if you recovered ??? Its shocking , im in constant pain and struggling to to the simplest of daily tasks.

Littlemix.....I have not had this problem.....BUT this is certainly a rare complication of dental surgery involving a nerve called the inferior alveolar nerve which you might like to Google. Oddly enough it is probably a result of the injection rather than due to trauma of the surgery.

You clearly have been given good advice and I am afraid that recovery of the nerve is in the "lap of the Gods"

Sorry.
