I have hayfever and it's just kicked in the past couple of days but I'm breastfeeding so can't take any of the remedies.

Apart from staying indoors, does anyone have any helpful tips to ease it?

superdrug own brand..
actually, it says do not take unless you've spoken with a doc..
Well you have spoken with a doctor and he says it is fine.

If you are apprehensive, why not use a nasal spray?

thank you!
CiderMonkey........ALL drugs including alcohol pass into breast milk but in minute quantities.

If your baby goes off it's feed or your milk becomes less in quantity, as long as you Dr knows that you are taking antihistamines then there should be no confusion.
Hi CiderMonkey
BF and being ill is no fun is it? The Breastfeeding Network is an excellent resource for advice on BF and taking medication. The site is run by a pharmacist, so the advice is spot on. They have a useful document on antihistamines: http://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/pdfs/An tihistamines_and_breastfeeding_June_08.pdf
I recommend you bookmark this site for future reference (not wishing you ill of course!).
