I stopped taking my pill at the start of January. Can anyone tell me if there are side effects of coming off of it? I have had a funny feeling belly for about a week now - Its all a bit bloated and has a few pains (not relly sore). I have endometriosis and my contraceptive pill was the treatment I was using. I'm a bit worried that stopping taking it has made it all go mental and I'll be having rampant adhesions!

It may upset your cycle again due to the change in hormones, you might bleed more or less than you did and more or less frequent. Google the brand name of the pill you were using and there will probably be a fact sheet about it.

I'm expecting the upset cycle. But I didn't expect the bloated belly and strange pains. Also I am well trumpy. Which is nice :o/
Could you be pregnant? I had the same feeings just before I discovered I was. Sorry, not trying to worry you, just a suggestion.

I think it's unlikely. Thats why I came off my pill but only came off on the 5th January so thtas only about 3 weeks ago
i have noticed similar symptoms in the past when i have not had a break between packs. so i would say it could be related to your pill taking, or lack of it. you know, your body is used to doing one thing but now it has to do something else so you are bound to feel a bit different.

Yeah thats what I thought. I used to take 6 packets then have a break so my bodys probably just freaking out a wee bit. Thanks
