I've been thinking of getting a rowing machine for some time now and figured what better time than the new year. However what's been putting me off is the fact that I'm so short! I'm about 4'10" and have embarrassingly struggled with exercise bikes in the past (can't reach the pedals). I was wondering if I would have similar problems with a rowing machine? I'm too embarrassed to even go to a gym to try one first after being laughed off the exercise bike!
Any fellow shorties got some advice?

theres only a problem if your too tall,as you cant get the full range of motion if your to tall for the rowing machine, but when your short your garanteed to be able to use it properly!

Do you not adjust the seat position on the Exercise bikes? The ones we have at the gym I work at, are the Life Fitness brand and I have seen children use them successfully, (not that I'm comparing you to a child) I've also seen them use the rowers and they are fine too.
