Starving after the gym

I go to the gym most days and have a sensible, reasonably sized meal about an hour after my workout. However, I have now found that I crave sweet food and just want to binge an hour or so after my meal. This doesn't happen on the days I don't visit the gym, but I wondered of anyone had any tips as to how I can curb this? I'm not bothered about losing weight (I weigh myself regularly, and am not losing and am not gaining weight) and am going to the gym for general maintenance of my health as well as to tone up, but would like to simply be satisfied by my evening meal without wanting to eat all evening afterwards!

I know exactly what you mean, red .... and it's why I stopped exercising. I found that after I'd had a session, I'd be so ravenous I'd eat the fridge and all its contents .... then I'd start on the snacks cupboard, eat its contents, then eat the cupboard too .......

Seriously though .... I found I was eating much more food than normal, and I presume it cancelled-out the good the excercising had done. [:o(
I think everyone goes through the same thing, lol id suggest after the gym and your meal have a chocolate milkshake, if not chocolate wteva tickles ya fancey, you drink a milkshake becauce it balances out your body after the work out because your energy's been used up so this should restore it and also fill you up.... hope i was helpful =]
