I have white spots on my tonsils and a blister type thing on the back of my throat, behind the dangly bit. Is this just a virus do you think?

you need to see your GP
usually when you have white spots on your tonsils its usually larenjitus (i think thats how you spell it lol) ive had it before but you need to see your GP to get some antibiotics, cos if it is larenjitus they can start pussing
Almost certainly viral in origin. If painful take ibobrufen or paracetamol. Unusual cause would be thrush. if it gets worse or does not recede in 5days see your G.P re. throat swab.
Tonsilitis?
Get some of that Vicks chlorseptic spray to ease the pain.
My son had this last year- tonsillitus, his tonsils became covered in one large white spot and pussed. He ended up in A&E cos he couldn't swallow water. Get yourself to the doctors and look after yourself.
I agree it sounds like tonsilitis! I used to suffer with this a lot. Now when I feel a bout coming on I gargle with tepit salt-water. Horrible I know, but it does the job. Most tonsilitis is bacterial so a course of antibiotics should clear it up.

Get well soon
sounds like quinsy to me, see your doctor, you need an antibiotic.
Quinsy is not an option, being one sided, bl....y painful, inability to swallow, hot, sweaty and feverish.
let us know how your blisters are doing Tiny E.A

Thanks for the advice everyone, I took myself to the NHS Walk In Clinic (marvellous places!) and it was tonsilitus but thankfully it's now cleared up with the help of penicillin. Cheers!
