well anjel.. Your not alone.. Im not sure really how to answer this because its such a big question with so many ansers...I would tell your self its ok to seek help, We all need help sometimes right.. If you dont like the pill idea.. maybe try something like yoga.. and I dont mean yoga "the work out".. I mean speak to a yogi, There all about teaching people to take the energys in there bodies and move them around to the right areas.. people will suffer from no sleep, stress, depression, back pain, hip pain, head akes, stomach pain and many other "disorders" just because the energy in there body is being blocked.. If your not famillier with this kind of stuff it may sound kind of strange.. but the more you learn the more it makes good sence.. I use to be a stress case amoung other things.. and once I discovered mental ways to relax, everything seem to have got better.. even sex lol Good luck anjel...

Hi anjel - I think Jennykins has given you a great answer, and its something I would be interested in learning more about too but I just wanted to say that you arent crazy and life is hard sometimes. You are right when you say how do you know when the mind is ill because its totally different, but things like depression for instance are an illness, its when your brain isnt functioning correctly its simply an imbalance and ocd is as well I believe. Its ok to go to your gp to have a chat about it and put your mind at rest. You dont necessarily have to take tablets either although sometimes they are necessary to help. You arent alone though. Lots of people have coping issues at times. Life is tough but you just need to find ways to help yourself deal with it. I hope this makes sense somewhat and I hope you feel better soon ! x
jenykins and spk great sanswers
if this is a chemical imbalance in the brain the tablets would help you my doctor told me that if i had diabetes i would take insulin and not even think about it so why is the brain chemical imbalance not the same with regard to taking tablets when he explained it like that it made sense to take them and i am a lot better now do go and have a chat with your doctor he wont nessacerily give you tablets if he doesnt think you need them there are counslers and all sorts to help you good luck

thanks for everyone getting back to me, i did go to the doctors once and he ruled out depression and asked if i wanted to be referred to see someone, just to have a chat and to basically be told i'm not going mad...but it was this i couldn't go through with...it is a big thing me mentioning on here and none of you even know me, so to sit face to face with someone and tell them some of the things that whirled round in my head i was mortified. i just wanna be happy and feel happy, i know there is stress and stuff in life cuz believe me i get enough of that aswel but i cant stand horrible thoughts about ppl i love etc, its horrible! really wanna know if any1 else gets it x
