Could the 6 month delay be just what Nigel Farage needs to get his new Brexit Party off the ground and campaigning for the next general election?

It will certainly help in that time to raise the profile of the new Party though Farage himself and his views are well known. People are fed up with the hypocrisy of so many MP's who have made U-turns and enduring a Parliament that has failed the population. He has to get theEU elections out of the way first.

But any general election will possibly be after May has signed away our country with a permanent treaty we are unable to get out of.

The irony is that Farage, who was never able to win a seat in the House,is one of the consistent politicians who speaks with passion and conviction.

Even he surely couldn't have predicted the mess that the country has found itself in but his experience will come to the fore again to exert maximum pressure.

He is the best hope this country has to galvanise disquiet and restore some pride and confidence in our political system.

Heaven knows,it is needed to save sone face and send a message out not only to the two main parties but to the EU and the world that the UK will not tolerate being pushed around so easily.

No problem, just a walk in the park for our Nigh.
I'm sure he'd prefer we actually left so he could get on with other things in his life.
I agree AOG and at least he will have a few months to get UK Parliment candidates ready.

Sadly I don’t think I’ve got to the next stage of the MEP process. Bit miffed that they haven’t told me though and I had to find out by the fact they have the chosen candidates popping up in Birmingham this weekend lol
Hope so AOG.

It's easy to talk big when you don't have any power. Should he ever be in a position to implement any of his promises I think you'll find he's much the same as the others.

He packs some punch in Brussels when he has the floor.

Judging of late, nobody has any power. One thing is for sure,Farage wouldn't have behaved like Mrs May has done.

He may not have been in power but he managed to get the people of this country a referendum, and just look what those in power have done to that.
Farage is certainly a good speaker. Whether or not he really means what he says is of course another question.
M. Farage likes to have his croissant and eat it.

"Whether or not he really means what he says is of course another question"

Of which you have no proof one way or another do you?
Nige is in fighting spirit:

"** Dear Brexiteer
------------------------------------------------------------

The Brexit betrayal has shown itself to be in full swing.
Brexit has been delayed, diluted and distorted.
It’s time to fight back.

We are launching the Brexit Party with a series of huge rallies,
taking place all across the country. Our aim is to win the European Elections on the 23rd May, now that Westminster is preventing Brexit.

The time has come to teach our politicians in Westminster a esson."

Nigel Farage.
Talk of politicians making U turns is rather confused: is an MP who voted Remain but now supports Leave possibly because he’s worried about losing his seat making any more or less of a U turn than an MP who goes the other way?
I could say more but it risks setting off the same old same old again ad nauseam.
It isn’t just Farage trying to break the mould or whatever. I wonder how many people have received application forms to stand in the European elections for one party or another? Must be quite a lot.
> The irony is that Farage, who was never able to win a seat in the House,is one of the consistent politicians who speaks with passion and conviction.

As are people like Ken Clarke, who has won and held his seat for longer than anybody else. How what these conviction politicians are saying lands on the ear tends to depend on whether you agree with them in the first place! The person I admired most for saying things I didn't agree with was Tony Benn.
I would love Nigel's new party to surge ahead both in Europe and here in the UK. Our current 'representatives' in parliament all need a serious reality check - not to mention a heftily positive kick up the rear end!

I wish him luck, I will watch his progress with interest.
I wish him luck too- a shame it's necessary, but clearly it is.
Me to. Sock it to them Mr Farage. You will have my vote. Someone who has worked for a living and not just a political career shyster.
Given the opportunity, I would vote for him too. He's the only one who's got the guts and who isn't afraid to tell the truth.
