I am singing in a very important concert tomorrow - and have a sore throat.
If I gargle with cold tea, should I swallow it?
This is not a frivolous question!
Many thanks in advance.

Peel an onion but leave the root on,, simmer in some light stock (or just water) when tender chop it up(discard root) and eat and drink the water too. Wonderfully soothing for the throat , you can of course season to taste.

I would either gargle with aspirin , or cider vinegar, which must be the one with the " mother" in it. From health shops.

Sip a mug of hot water with a large spoonful of honey in it one hour before you sing to loosen up the vocal cords.
my mother used to swear by Harvey's Bristol Cream - pisshh-artiste perhaps.
Are you mad, nothing is going to happen if the swallow it
